EDI implements and supports development initiatives that strengthen civil society organizations, empower communities, promote sustainable enterprises and contribute to biodiversity conservation and climate resilience in Cambodia.
Our projects bring together communities, civil society organizations, government institutions, development partners and private-sector actors to deliver practical and sustainable development outcomes.
01. CSO Development & Organizational Sustainability
EDI implements initiatives to strengthen civil society organizations through institutional capacity development, organizational sustainability, leadership development, governance improvement and strategic partnerships. These initiatives include the EDI Organizational Sustainability System (EOSS) and tailored capacity-building programmes.
02. Research, Evaluation & Consultancy
EDI provides research, policy analysis, project evaluations, organizational assessments and development consultancy. Our work applies participatory, evidence-based and mixed-method approaches to generate practical insights, inform decision-making and strengthen development outcomes.
03. Leadership Development & Training
EDI designs and delivers practical leadership development and capacity-building programmes for civil society organizations, community leaders, youth and entrepreneurs. Our training covers organizational leadership, governance, project management, monitoring and evaluation, business development, climate resilience and participatory approaches to sustainable development.
04. Enterprise & MSME Development
EDI promotes inclusive enterprise development and supports micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) through business planning, entrepreneurship development, value chain strengthening, market linkages, financial management and innovative business solutions. We particularly encourage women-led enterprises, youth entrepreneurship and sustainable local economic development.
05. Biodiversity & Climate Resilience
EDI supports biodiversity conservation, natural resource management and climate resilience through community-based initiatives, ecosystem-based approaches, climate-smart agriculture and sustainable livelihoods. We work with communities, civil society organizations and development partners to promote environmental protection, strengthen local resilience and support sustainable management of natural resources.
06. Digital Innovation
EDI promotes digital innovation and the practical use of technology to strengthen organizational effectiveness, improve access to information and support evidence-based decision-making. Our work includes digital literacy, digital data collection and management, KoboToolbox, data visualization, digital monitoring and evaluation systems, and technology-enabled solutions for civil society organizations, enterprises and communities.
